Each year, the Nonprofit Marketing Academy hosts an annual FISH Program where we partner with community-minded businesses to support the educational needs of nonprofit leaders. Our goal with the program is to provide nonprofits with all the tools they need to develop and sustain a revenue-generating marketing program.
Under the FISH Program, our business partners provide grant funds to cover one-half the cost of training so that nonprofit professionals can benefit from high-quality training opportunities at a significantly reduced cost.

The course will include a weekly check-in call with the instructor or a research team member to answer any questions. We will schedule group calls at various times to accommodate your time zone. Participants can register for the call that best suits their schedule. Upon completion of the course, participants may be asked to provide an honest, unbiased review of the course, which may be used in marketing and promotions.
Promotional Benefits for Candidates:
In addition to a press release and social media marketing, all grant winners will have their nonprofit featured in the October 2018 edition of Nonprofit Marketing Leader recognizing their commitment to nonprofit excellence. The feature will include the name of the nonprofit, website information, and a brief statement about the services the nonprofit provides.
How the training grant program works: The Nonprofit Marketing Academy has received matching grants from business partners to co-fund up to 50 nonprofit participants. We are seeking grant applications from nonprofits. The grant will cover 50 percent of the current course fee. (Current course fees are $297/certification or $197/leadership.) The balance is required to be paid by the nonprofit, as it demonstrates a commitment to the program.
Who should apply for this grant: We have funding available for up to 50 participants for the Integrated Nonprofit Marketing Course. The course is ideal for nonprofit marketers, CEOs, Executive Directors, Communications, PR or other Marketing team members, and nonprofit management students.
Under the grant, the chosen candidates may go at their own pace, however, the goal is to be able to complete the on-demand, self-paced course within 60 days. Candidates may choose from the leadership track or the certification track. Both tracks provide a certificate of completion. The course includes 15 lessons, each is about 20-35 minutes long. The lessons in the certification track include a quiz or brief writing assignment and a marketing project.
The course was designed by a team of nonprofit strategists to resolve the core challenges nonprofit’s face. If you find yourself challenged by time, capacity, resources, budget, planning, technology, or staff limitations, this course will resolve your challenges by teaching you a proven marketing method and supplying you with technology to improve your operations. You will also learn strategies for cross-training your entire team of staff, board members, and volunteers, and you will acquire the skills needed to excel at nonprofit marketing.
